Here's what we'll do:

Session 1: Spring cleaning for your Substack home

Most Substack writers don't succeed on their first attempt, but it's not because they are uninteresting or bad writers. We just tend to feel like we are performing on social media platforms, when what we really are doing is creating a digital home to invite people into. In the first session, we'll dive straight to work on cleaning up and polishing your publication until you have that specific satisfaction of a freshly organized space. Everything in its place, and nothing to fell apologetic about. This is key to the work we do together in Session 2.

Session 2: Open the door

Substack's growth engine works when you show up generously--not as though you are broadcasting from a stage, but as though you have a wonderful table set at home and you are inviting people in to share it with you. Building upon the work we've done in the first session to get your space ready for company, the powerful network development work we do in the second session will be where you confidently show up as a member of the Substack community. You know that feeling when you've worked hard on a party invitation and send it out knowing it's going to be well-received? That's what we do in the second session.

The Field Notes Library

These little resources and thoughts are around the strategic tools and thinking that I find useful for growing a Substack you can feel proud of. These are more about the deeper philosophy of things, not so much the mechanics as we do the mechanics together in real time during the calls and those do change as the platform grows and develops. You maintain lifetime access to the Field Notes Library and all future updates to it.
